Owners of the resort contacted R.C. by phone to request balcony and staircase custom metal handrails along with some structural repairs to metal beams. R.C.’s welders then agreed to fabricate and install what was requested according to engineer-developed blueprints provided.
Lake Lawn Resort had already hired an engineer to inspect their railings and balcony and, so, were already aware of structural issues. The inspection report from the engineer prompted them to reach out to a professional welding service to improve their customers’ safety by bringing these building components up to code. And, when R.C. began the project, they discovered that the railings were indeed unsafe and not up to code, contributing to poor structural integrity. The resort made the right choice by quickly addressing these issues.
What This Project Involved
R.C.’s work on this project involved a few distinct steps. Once they received the call from Lake Lawn Resort, they traveled to their location to take measurements of the area on site. Taking these measurements themselves is key to ensuring proper fabrication. Their welders then got to work on welding and fabricating the new and secure railings and beams. These items included powder coating to finish them and add an attractive, modern appearance. Finally, they conducted installation of all upper deck railings, staircase railings, and structural beams.
